Designed Around the Shape and Proportions of the KHOY Sofa Bed

When designing Viima, we started with the sofa bed itself.

Its distinctive angled corners echo the characteristic curves and geometry of KHOY sofa beds, creating a natural visual connection between the two. At 200 × 220 cm, Viima is also proportioned to sit beautifully underneath the sofa bed and define the space around it.

The result is a rug that feels less like an accessory added afterward and more like an extension of the furniture.

A Subtle Lift That Allows Extra Airflow

Viima isn’t only designed to complement the shape of your KHOY sofa bed – it also adds a small, thoughtful functional detail.

Placing the rug underneath creates a subtle gap between the sofa bed and the floor, allowing a little extra air to circulate underneath. While this isn’t necessary in most homes, it can be a useful added benefit in spaces where natural air circulation is more limited.

It’s a simple example of how we approach design at KHOY: combining aesthetics with thoughtful everyday functionality.

Wool and Paper Yarn Combine Comfort, Texture and Durability

Viima is made from a premium blend of 42% wool and 58% paper yarn, combining wool's warmth and softness with paper yarn's distinctive texture.

The surface is treated to repel dirt, making Viima suitable for everyday living and more demanding public spaces.

Underneath, a dense and flexible EVAPOLYTEX® backing helps keep the rug securely in place and retain its shape. The backing is suitable for all flooring materials, including floors with underfloor heating. It is also odorless, recyclable, and designed not to leave marks on the floor.

Designed to Make the Sofa Bed Part of a Complete Interior

From the beginning, our goal at KHOY has been to rethink the sofa bed rather than simply redesign the traditional one.

Viima takes that thinking one step further.

Its shape follows the design language of our sofa beds. Its dimensions are designed around them. And its construction adds a thoughtful functional detail for homes where a little extra airflow can be beneficial.
